I’m Heidi. I’m mid-twenties, from Northern Canada and an erotic romance author. I have a degree in History with a concentration in British and Irish studies from Simon Fraser University, graduated in 2010. Fave topics: the Gaelic diaspora, popular culture, oral history, and sexuality/gender.I’m a closeted queer woman with a lapsed Irish-Catholic husband, and yes, that’s about as dysfunctional as it sounds. Willing to accept string theory as pillowtalk as long as it’s with an accent. We have two cats and a daughter. I'm sleep-deprived, but relentlessly cheerful bordering on manic, with a self-deprecating sense of humour. And I talk with my hands.
I like to write about multicultural and mixed-orientation relationships, vivid settings, mythological references, equal parts witty/filthy dialogue, and gory backstories. I like to read all of the above, preferably with strong female characters. I also am known to dabble in literary fiction. High fantasy and hard sci-fi make my poor little head spin. I rebel against American English! (Until an editor says otherwise).
